QA Engineer (manual testing of a web portal)

We represent an USA-based company working on a world-wide project related to big data processing. The project is about 10 years old, started from a small site, grown up into a large information system selling it's services to thousands of customers over the world. Now the project is a result of collaborating of a large team including people from USA, Canada, Australia, Poland, Bulgaria, Russia. The HQ is in USA / New York.

We are looking for part-time and full-time employees. We offer remote work, friendly international team, stable salary.

You may be a student or a beginner IT specialist looking for your first experience.

Or you may be an experienced specialist tired of office work, interested in flexible schedule.

Anyway we have a lot of work to do and we are ready to pay for it.

What we want you to do:

- permanently review the site and investigate it for possible problems

- stay in contact with the customers and the development team, inform them about problems on the site

- provide full and detailed reports about the found problems

- review new features/problem fixes implemented by the development team, make sure they work properly

- create test scenarios/test cases to validate the site functionality

- create and support internal documentation

We would be glad to see your CV if you:

- is willing to study non-obvious complicated behavior and small details of a large Web portal

- have strong communication skills, is able to document investigation results, to provide clearly structured written feedback

- is active and flexible in Internet communications - Outlook, Skype, Slack, Zoom, we use all of them. You should think about people skyping with you like they are just in your room.

- is ready to work remotely, organize own working place, has stable and fast internet connection to be online at working hours.

- can communicate in English (all the communications between the customers and the team are in English; the internal team communications are in English too).

- know Microsoft Excel (a part of our project is a MS Excel VBA application with complex functionality).

And especially if you:

- have experience with manual testing, especially writing test-cases and test-plans

- have experience with bug-tracking software like JIRA or Mantis.

Don't forget to mention in your CV if your skills list includes these options

(may increase your chances and your salary):

- knowledge of HTML/CSS, ability to read/understand HTML structure of a site.

- knowledge of databases, ability to build an SQL query.

- knowledge of at least one programming language, algorithmic way of thinking.

- experience with automated testing, things like Selenium.

- experience with REST API of any type.
