Automation Engineer QA

We are currently looking to hire a creative, enthusiastic & experienced Automation Engineer for a full-time, fully remote opportunity here at Screach.

You will work within the Tech team, developing and maintaining and adding a suite of automated tests to detect issues before our customers do. As our resident Automation expert, you will help to ensure the quality and stability of our technology product.

Reporting to the CTO, your daily work will involve identifying testing scenarios which can be automated and building automation tests to cover those scenarios. You will design, implement, document and test your code, collaborating with our diverse and highly skilled team of Engineers and the team’s Product Manager to ensure that the functionality of our systems meets the requirements of our customers and is delivered bug free.

Who are we looking for?

• 5+ years’ commercial experience building automated test suites for distributed and asynchronous systems.

• Experience using one or more industry standard testing frameworks.

• Experience testing complex system interactions with data flows and APIs.

• Experience of commercial software testing to deadlines.

• Good communication skills, well organised, good time management.

• Experience of working autonomously and as part of a development team.

• Is committed to self-learning and skills development.

• Passionate, driven and critical of their own work.

• Enjoys working in a fast-moving agile culture.

Duties

• Understand and practice our development process within the team.

• Improve oversight, rigor and reportability of the quality of our technology product.

• Participate in reviews or your own and colleagues’ code.

• Contribute to project planning by providing effort estimates for the team’s future work.

• You will be expected to document your work clearly and concisely in the source code.

• You will be expected to assist our Customer Support team to investigate customer issues

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field.

• Previous work experience as a QA Automation Engineer.

• Advanced programming skills, including automation systems and databases.

• Knowledge of programming scripting languages.

• Excellent analytical skills.

• Detailed knowledge of application functions, bug fixing and testing protocols.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Great attention to detail.
